Robert Bruce _____, 81, of Boynton Beach, FL died Friday, Dec. 25.
Born Feb. 23, 1928 to Harry and Sarah _____, Bruce graduated from John Adams High School in Cleveland in 1946 and then served in the United States Navy. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ohio University in 1951. He retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company after more than thirty years as a marketing and commercial manager.
He worked as a volunteer at Old School Square in Delray Beach for many years and also at the Delray Beach Playhouse. Bruce was active in Rotary International for almost forty years.
His interests included music, art, performing arts, writing, speaking, Cleveland sports teams, and current events.
He is survived by his beloved friend, Joan _____ of Delray Beach, Florida; sons, Brian (Kriss) of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Jim of Oberlin, Ohio, and Paul of Rocky River, Ohio; grandchildren, Doug, Sarah, and Zoe; and many friends around the world.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in his name to Old School Square Cultural Art Center, 51 North Swinton Ave., Delray Beach, Florida 33444-2631.
